New Features and Reporting Functionality in ESM 4.0
This workshop will be a deep dive presentation and demonstration of the new features of ArcSight ESM 4.0. Just over half of the time will cover the enhancements to the reporting capabilities, and attendees will be able to login to a functioning ArcSight 4.0 Manager to complete a reporting exercise. Participants will also have hands-on time to examine the new environment and further explore and test some of the new features presented.

How to Build an ArcSight Solution
This hands-on tutorial will show the participants how a solution or a use-case is implemented, beginning with defining the use-case to testing it. The ArcSight Solutions team will share insights into how a successful solution is built. Using the latest IT Governance 3.0 solution, we will walk through how we implemented the entire solution, following a well-defined process. We.ll step through all elements of that process including: requirement gathering, connector requirements, break down and implementation of use-cases, content development standards, and testing. The participants will build a small solution, applying all the concepts learned.

Demystifying ArcSight Administration
This session will provide ArcSight ESM administrators with the knowledge needed to maintain a currently running ArcSight ESM deployment. In this discussion we will cover: log analysis, built in system and status monitoring tools, administration of SSL certificates, conversion from the ArcSight demo SSL certificate to an external CA and manager and database performance tuning. This session will also explore how to increase the storage size of your Oracle database, how to configure ArcSight ESM to conform to your corporate password standards, modification of retention periods, connector redirection to a secondary manager and how to modify connector cache sizing.
